Curtin University participates as a Place Agency partner seeing the collaboration as contributing to discipline-focused programs within the School of Design and the Built Environment such as undergraduate and postgraduate Urban and Regional Planning programs; Architecture and Urban Design research studios; and their Master of Sustainability and the Built Environment.

The university sees the project as being centrally aligned with its strategic aims to, among other things, provide graduates with the skills to adapt to and drive positive change in industry and practices and be proactive in moving beyond departmental silos by enhancing interdisciplinary learning.
